Wednesday Farmers' Market

Jo's visiting from Ottawa, so we biked down to the Wednesday Farmers' Market (distinct from the regular Saturday market) and then met CC for lunch at The Planet.

It was all pretty tiring, so on the ride home ADF took a quick nap.

Late Afternoon

ADF shows off just a little for Poppa, who's been visiting so that he might help us with a few jobs in the new house (like, say, installing the satellite dish, running new wiring and doing some plumbing). Not shown is Poppa's well deserved post-work beer.

Blackout

We had a pretty major thunderstorm this afternoon. Unfortunately I didn't grab my camera in time to capture the golf ball-sized hail stones. Eventually the power went out. ADF hunkered down in our bed to wait for the weather to pass and the light to return.

Rudy, meanwhile, continued to investigate his new surroundings.

Market Day

In an attempt to become more like locals, we did what a lot of locals do on Saturday mornings here: we went to the Farmers' Market.

And we bought some dragon tongue beans.
